INA committee seeks renaming of Andaman & Nicobar islands
The All India INA committee on Saturday asked the government to immediately set up an academy in the name of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in the Indian capital and rename Andaman and Nicobar as Shaheed and Swaraj Islands.

The Azad Hind goverenment had renamed the Andaman and
Nicobar islands. “We urge the government to take steps to designate these two islands as Shaheed and Swaraj, committee general secretary Capt S S Yadava said in a release in New Delhi on Saturday coninciding with the anniversary of the formation of the 'provisional government of Azad Hind'.
He also said that the services and sufferings of many Indians,
who were brought up in Burma, Thailand and other East Asian
countries have not been properly appreciated.
