Israel's Attorney General Eliyakim Rubinstein decided not to pursue charges against former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over allegations of fraud and corruption while he was in office, Israeli public television said on Tuesday. The decision is expected to be made public on Thursday, it added.
“The attorney general decided not to indict Netanyahu,” the television said.
Israel's channel 2 television also said that Rubinstein decided not to indict Netanyahu, emphasising that the reason was lack of sufficient evidence against him.
Israel's public television said the attorney general also decided to forego any charges against Netanyahu's wife Sara.
