assembly likely to begin on a stormy note on January 22 when

Speaker Hasim Abdul Halim told a press conference in Kolkata that 35 security personnel would be deployed besides the 20 regular watch and ward staff of the house to ensure that the members do not come into physical contact with each other.
"The security personnel would be drawn from the state police as they were already trained and would function under the marshal of the house," he said.
Asked if any MLA could be arrested if he resorted to violence in the house, the speaker said there was no provision, but in such a case the member could be suspended or expelled.
To a question Halim said that it was not for the first time that special security arrangements were being made. 100 security personnel were deployed in the House in 1984.
Asked if he apprehended any trouble during the session, the speaker replied that it was his duty and responsibility to make arrangements to run the house smoothly.
The speaker who convened an all-party meeting during the day before the ensuing session, said he appealed to political parties to maintain decorum and dignity of the House.
Halim also said that he apprised the all-party meeting of the special security arrangement.
