Banned Maoist Communist Centre (MCC) activists struck again on Friday night, brutally killing two persons near Kaukol police station in Bihar's Nawada district, two days after they killed nine people at Narkopi village near Ranchi, The police said suspected MCC cadres killed Mundrika tiwari and Nitya Tiwari by slitting their throats. No arrest was reported.

The MCC on Wednesday gunned down nine people, six of them members of the Ali Sena, a private militia of minorities in south Bihar at Narkopi village, 50 km from Ranchi. In retaliation against the attack Ali Sena activists kidnapped five persons from the village. Three bodies of the abducted persons were recovered on Thursday night from neighbouring Khokro village. A person was found alive by the police in a semi-conscious state. The MCC on Friday abducted two persons near Imamganj in Gaya district and forcibly took them to a hillock where they killed one and released the other after he agreed to pay Rs 50,000. Official sources said raids were being conducted in various areas of Ranchi, Gaya and Nawada districts to nab the ultras.
