The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Maruti Udyog (MUL) has approved a 25 per cent dividend for 1999-2000 besides giving its nod to the financial results for the year, the company managing director Jagdish Khattar said.

“The AGM approved the financial results for 1999-2000 and a dividend of 25 per cent. Other than these matters, there was no important agenda for the meeting,” Khattar told PTI.
MUL, market leader in the passenger car segment with a market share of about 60 per cent, has registered a 36.8 per cent drop in net profit to Rs 330 crore in 1999-2000 against Rs 552 crore in the previous year.
However, its turnover went up by 15.4 per cent to Rs 9,673 crore during the reference fiscal compared to Rs 8,181 crore in 1998-99.
