The lawyers of three Hinduja brothers on Friday mentioned before the designated CBI court that the Hinduja brothers will appear in the Bofors case before it when the case will be taken up again 1230 hours. The moment the court of Special Judge Ajit Bharihoke began its day`s proceedings, the lawyers for three brothers -- G P Hinduja, P P Hinduja and S P Hinduja -- asked the judge when the matter will be taken up. The judge said he will take up the matter at 1230 hours. The three Hinduja brothers, against whom CBI has filed charge sheet in the Rs 64 crore Bofors payoffs case, arrived in India on Thursday. Decks were cleared on January 10 for appearance of the Hinduja brothers before the court in the Bofors payoffs case when CBI said that it had asked the immigration authorities not to detain or arrest them on their arrival in India. The court had issued summonses to Hindujas asking them to appear before it on January 19 after taking cognizance of the CBI charge sheet, which alleged that they had received 81million Swedish Kroners from A B Bofors which bagged the Rs 1437 crore gun contract in 1986.
