AIADMK supremo Jayalalitha on Saturday accused Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi of deliberately denying permission for installation of late Chief Minister M G Ramachandran (MGR) statues at two places in the state. If the permission sought from the Karunanidhi government was not forthcoming prior to the dates fixed for installing them at Andipatti on Oct 15 and at Dindigul on Oct 22, she would lead an agitation at both places on those days, she said in a statement in Chennai.
She said that the state government was adopting delaying tactics in according permission out of 'politically motivated considerations'.
