No one was injured in the incident, which happened on Friday as the plane touched down after a flight from Ottawa to Iqaluit, in Nunavut, in the far north of the country.
“There was a lot of wind... and snow and the runway was soaking wet,” Said Denis Deroy, a spokesman for the Canadian transport security authority. “The plane blew two tires as it overran the runway, but there was no other damage,” he adeded.
