Former BJP President Kushabhau Thakre on Sunday hailed the NDA foreign policy in isolating Pakistan from the helm of world map and said that Atal Behari Vajpayee has emerged as a great and undisputable leader of the country. Pakistan which was earlier at the helm of the world map is now isolated due to the best foreign policy adopted by the National Democratic Front government, Thakre told reporters in Raipur. “With the recent visit to the United States, Vajpayee has emerged as unequivocal leader of India,” he said.
Thakre said that under the previous Congress government, the country's foreign policy was weak and India was isolated everywhere on burning international issues. To a question, Thakre said that the situation in Bihar and West Bengal was precarious.
Replying to another query, the BJP leader said, “Hindutva was not on the agenda of the party or the NDA. India is a democratic country and all sections and religions have equal rights”.

Thakre said that there was no discontentment among the top party leaders like Govindacharya, Sushma Swaraj or Uma Bharti as was being described in sections of press. All were workers of BJP. To a question over the BJP's call to the Muslims to join the party, he said that there was nothing wrong in appealing all sections of people to join the party. “BJP did not believe in casteism and religious discrimination,” he said.
Thakre said that his party has fulfilled its commitments made to the people by forming three new states of Chhattisgarh, Uttaranchal and Jharkhand.
