She won the coveted crown and laurels for India after a hiatus of 16 years.
Mumbai: Haryana’s Manushi Chhillar made India proud by winning the Miss World Crown on Saturday at the international beauty pageant held in Sanya, China.
She won the coveted crown and laurels for India after a hiatus of 16 years. The beauty, who won the final contest by giving a beautiful answer to a thought-provoking question, is now a household name. She is not just beautiful but intelligent too.
In the question-and-answer round after she was shortlisted among the top five, Manushi was asked: "Which profession deserves the highest salary and why?"
She said a mother deserves it the most. Manushi has indeed left many awe-inspired.
And now a two-year-old video of the young medical student has surfaced online and you will be amazed to see how she has transformed in the last couple of years.

Manushi was hailed by President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar for winning the crown for India. She also proved that she can take remarks and jibes in the right spirit when she gracefully reacted to veteran Congress leader Shashi Tharoor’s ‘Chillar’ tweet.
She tweeted: “A girl who has just won the World isn’t going to be upset over a tongue-in-cheek remark. ‘Chillar’ talk is just small change - let’s not forget the ‘chill’ within Chhillar @ShashiTharoor (sic).”
Tharoor said the beauty queen was being 'uncommonly gracious' in her tweet reply to his post.
