Calangute Results 2017: BJP candidate wins
In Calangute Assembly Elections 2017, sitting MLA Michael Vincent Lobo of BJP is pitted against Joseph Robert Sequeira (Indian National Congress) and Godwin Fernandes (Aam Aadmi Party).
Panaji: Calangute is constituency No. 8 of 40-seat Goa Legislative Assembly. It is situated in North Goa district and comes under North Goa Lok Sabha constituency. It is an open constituency.
According to the Election Commission of India, Calangute has 22,178 registered voters. It comprises 10,852 male and 11,326 female registered voters.
