According to reports, the political parties are using social media to the hilt in attacking each other and influencing the voters there.

Earlier, it was the Congress party which ran a fierce campaign ''Vikas has gone crazy'' ridiculing the BJP’s development model in Gujarat.

Now, it's BJP's turn to hit back at the main opposition party.

Vijay Chauthaiwale, a top BJP leader, has tweeted a video clip, inspired by a famous television commercial 'Mauka Mauka', to make fun of Congress’s poor election record, which has gone viral on the Internet.

The video posted by Chauthaiwale, who is BJP's in-charge of the foreign affairs department, mocks Congress central leadership, particularly Rahul Gandhi, for their dismal performance in recent elections.

Interestingly, Union Minister Smriti Irani, who never misses an opportunity to target the Gandhi scion, was quick to respond to Chauthaiwale’s tweet wishing him on Diwali.

The hugely popular 'Mauka Mauka' commercial - based on India-Pakistan encounters in World Cup – has been tweaked a bit to make fun of the Congress party for its poor show in all the elections since 2002 Gujarat Assembly election.

It's to be noted that the 'Mauka Mauka' campaign was a huge hit during the 2011 ICC World Cup.
