The development comes days after PAAS leader Hardik Patel said he was satisfied with the three options presented by Congress.

Two PAAS leaders had reportedly flown to New Delhi on Friday to hold talks with Congress leaders regarding their demand of granting reservation status to the Patidar community.

PAAS convener Dinesh Bamania claimed that Gujarat Congress president Bharatsinh Solanki told them that there would be a detailed meeting once after the Congress Central Election Committee`s meeting got over.

The Congress leaders are currently mulling over the selection of candidates for the upcoming Gujarat Assembly elections.

"However, even after the CEC meeting got over, they have not met us and Solanki is not picking up our calls. This is an insult to us," he said.

PAAS leadership, in consultation with Hardik Patel, reportedly gave an ultimatum to the Congress to declare its stand on the reservation status within 24 hours or else face opposition.

Gujarat elections will be held on December 9 and 14 and votes will be counted on December 18.
