Jignesh Mevani realised the hard way that electoral politics is not about raising anti-India slogans like in JNU! He asked people to say Allah o Akbar five times before he said Jai Shri Ram... Crowd erupted with chants of Modi Modi, forcing him to leave without being heard... pic.twitter.com/L6b0KERh7c

Mevani, along with Patidar quota leader Hardik Patel and OBC leader Alpesh Thakore, has aligned with the Congress for Gujarat polls.
He is contesting the elections as an independent candidate from the Vadgam constituency of north Gujarat's Sabarkatha district.
The Congress had withdrawn its candidate from the seat, which is a traditional stronghold of the party.
Meanwhile, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, who visited the Shree Ranchhodji Temple in Dakor on Sunday, was also greeted by the crowd chants of `Modi Modi`.
The second phase of Gujarat Assembly elections will be held on December 14.
The first phase was held on December 9 for 83 Assembly constituencies.
