Gurugram: 12-year-old girl abducted from Sector 35

Gurugram: A minor girl was abducted earlier today by unidentified men from Sector 35, Gurugram, on Friday.

The victim is a 12-year-old girl.

Police investigation is currently underway. 

The incident comes amid reports of several cases of sexual violence in Haryana. 

Over the last 24 hours, three rapes were reported from across the state. 

In the last six days, eight incidents of rapes have been reported.

On Thursday, popular Haryanvi singer Mamata Sharma, who has been missing for the past few days, was found dead with her throat slit in Haryana's Rohtak. 

A college student was allegedly raped in Gurugram district's Farrukhnagar on Monday. Later, two accused persons were arrested. Farrukhnagar is one the few places which has witnessed a spurt in rape cases. 

Over the last few months, Haryana has been dealing with a massive a law and order crisis. With multiple incidents of rapes being reported on a daily basis, there's a lot of pressure on the state government and police force.
