Many people didn't know that not just foods like candy, cookies contain sugar, even pasta, bread and diet soda also contains a lot of it.


Even if you don't eat sweets much, but you could unknowingly be consuming a lot of sugar.


Here’s are a few signs that you are consuming too much sugar:


Skin problems



Consuming too much sugary food might cause havoc on skin and can lead to acne breakouts or skin problems like rosacea, eczema, or excess oiliness or dryness.


Always hungry



A study published in the journal Appetite suggests that eating too much sugar might lead to constant hunger. This is because high blood sugar in the body prevents the glucose from entering the cells as a result of which the body does not get enough energy and starves for food.


High cholesterol



If you have high cholesterol level, then it is a sign that you are consuming too much sugar in your diet. A study published in the journal Medicinal Food suggests that an abundance of sugar can increase the bad cholesterol (LDL) and decrease the bad cholesterol (HDL)


Feeling tired



Consuming too much sugar will make you feel tired or fatigued all the time. Though sugary foods can give you an initial boost of energy, it’s only temporary.


Frequent colds or flu



If you get sick frequently, then you are consuming too much sugar. Excessive intake of sugar can weaken the immune system which harms the body’s ability to fight off flu viruses, colds, and even chronic diseases.
