New Delhi: We often have some minor burn accidents at home while cooking or doing some other work. But, one doesn't need to rush to the hospital for treatment as it can be easily treated at home itself.


Here are some tips to treat minor burns at home:


Black tea


Putting a cool, wet black tea bag on the burn skin helps in drawing heat away and less painfull as it contains tannic acid.


Honey


Honey is also considered good for burns as it has antibacterial properties that keep the skin cool and doesn't get infected.


Milk


Put the burnt part of the skin in cold milk for a few minutes as it will cool down the wound and also heal it faster.


Mint toothpaste


Apply mint toothpaste on the burnt area after running it under cold water and patting it dry as it will help cool down immediately.
