Los Angeles: "Narcos" star Boyd Holbrook is re-teaming with Netflix and will play the lead in the thriller film "In the Shadow of the Moon".

The film will be helmed by 'Hap and Leonard' creator Jim Mickle while the script has been penned by Gregory Weidman and Geoff Tock, reported Variety.


Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Rian Cahill, Ben Pugh and Linda Moran will produce the project along with Mickle. The film is expected to begin shooting later this year.


From 2015-16, the 36-year-old Holbrook had starred in Netflix's drug drama "Narcos" for two seasons, playing the role of DEA agent Steve Murphy.


He will next in star in Shane Black’s "The Predator", which will also feature, Olivia Munn, Trevante Rhodes, Keegan-Michael Key, Sterling K. Brown, Jacob Tremblay, Yvonne Strahovski, Alfie Allen, and Thomas Jane.
