New Delhi: As Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) continues to lead in Punjab as per early trends, celebrations have begun in the party’s chief ministerial candidate Bhagwant Mann’s residence.
Video released by news agency ANI shows AAP workers celebrating and dancing outside Mann’s residence in Sangrur. Mann contested from Dhuri seat of Punjab.
Mann, who has been endorsed by AAP as a common man’s leader in Punjab, seemed confident since the beginning of the day of counting.
Visuals from the ground show that sweets and jalebis were being prepared at Mann even before the counting in the state began.

“We're 'aam aadmi but when 'Aam Aadmi' rises mightiest of thrones shake. Today's an imp day in India's history, not only because AAP is winning one more state but because it has become a national force. AAP will become Congress' replacement,” said Chadha.
So far, AAP is leading in 86 seats out 0f 117 in Punjab and is likely to form a majority government.
