New Delhi: A suspected LPG cylinder blast triggered a fire at a popular city eatery, Rameshwaram Cafe, on Friday, injuring at least five people, police said. The exact number of casualties was not confirmed, but police said they had taken at least five people to hospital. The fire broke out at Rameshwaram Cafe in Kundanahalli after the explosion. Police and fire fighters arrived at the scene quickly.

“A cylinder blast in Rameshwaram Cafe was reported to us. We sent a fire engine to the spot right away. We think it was a cylinder blast, but we are still verifying it. It was a minor blast, and we have moved those injured to the hospital. The incident took place between 1.30 and 2 pm. We are investigating it from all angles,” a police officer said.
