New Delhi: A clash broke out between AAP and BJP Councillors once again in the in Delhi Civic Centre on the third day of commotion in the house. Even the women councillors in the house got into a physical fight with each other. The shameful incident of the physical tussle between the councillors of the Aam Aadmi Party and  Bharatiya Janata Party took place when the recounting of the votes for the MCD Standing Committee was on in the civic centre.

Councillors in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi collided after newly elected mayor Shelly Oberoi announced that the recounting of the votes for the election of members of the standing committee will not be conducted and declared one vote invalid.

Amid the ruckus AAP councillor Ashok Kumar Maanu collapsed and later appeared before the media in dreadful condition with his cloths messed up and other members were offering him water to release the stress. "They are so shameless that they attacked even women and the Mayor. BJP goons did this," said one of the AAP councillor.


Meenakshi Sharma, a BJP councillor was also injured during the clash and she claimed that she was hit with a sharp object by an AAP councillor. Showing her bruised hand to the media Sharma also alleged that she was also touched on her neck by some male councillor in the House.


"Someone from AAP hit me with a sharp object. They also touched my neck. It was done by a male Councillor. They haven’t allowed a single House sustain. Don’t know if she's Delhi's Mayor or AAP's. She acts on orders by Kejriwal and other masters," ANI quoted Meenakshi Sharma.



A fresh poll was conducted on Friday to elect six members of the MCD's standing committee on the order of Delhi Mayor Shelly Oberoi.
