Army kills one in gun battle with terrorists in J&K`s Pulwama

Terrorists and security personnel exchanged heavy gunfire in the early morning hours.

One terrorist was shot dead by the Indian Army after an encounter broke out in J&K's Pulwama early Saturday morning.

The terrorist killed has been identified as Shabir Maliya alias Ahsaan Bhai from Samboora. It is reported that two other terrorists who were pinned down under heavy fire managed to escape even though security forces managed to recover a stash of arms and ammunition.

The encounter took place in Babgund and while the operation has ended, a manhunt has been launched to locate the terrorists who managed to flee. A curfew has been imposed in Pulwama.
