Giorgia Meloni Wishes PM Narendra Modi On Birthday; Here`s What Italian PM Said
Italian PM Giorgia Meloni also extended warm wishes to PM Modi on his 74th birthday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned 74 today. Political leaders from across the world extended greetings to him on the occasion. Italian PM Giorgia Meloni also extended warm wishes to PM Modi on his birthday.
Taking to X, Meloni said, "Happy birthday to the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi. I am sure that we will continue to strengthen our friendship and collaboration between Italy and India, to face together the global challenges that await us."
Thanking people for the birthday wishes, PM Modi said, "Humbled and honoured to receive so much warmth from people. I thank each and every person who has conveyed birthday greetings to me. This affection gives me immense strength to keep working harder for the people."
PM Modi met Meloni in June this year where the latter congratulated PM Modi for his third consecutive term as Prime Minister. During the meeting, the two leaders noted with satisfaction the regular higher political dialogue and reviewed progress of the India-Italy Strategic Partnership. While expressing happiness at growing trade and economic collaboration, they called for expanding commercial ties in clean energy, manufacturing, Space, S&T, telecom, AI and critical minerals to build resilient supply chains. In this context, they welcomed the recent signing of a MoU on Industrial Property Rights (IPR) which provides a framework for cooperation on patents, designs and trademarks.
