    Delhi Health Secretary Amit Singla chaired a meeting with all district magistrates on earlier today and directed them to visit all hospitals and prepare an inventory of beds and equipment available there, a district official said.

    "From Monday onwards, we are going to physically assess the situation at the government hospitals with regard to the availability of beds, oxygen cylinders, ventilators etc. These details will be available on a Delhi government portal for public viewing from Tuesday," another official said.

    The minimum temperature settled at 5.3 degrees Celsius in the national capital on Christmas day (December 25), three notches below the season's average, the weather office at Safdarjung said. The relative humidity was 97 per cent and visibility at 600 metres at 8:30 am, it said.

    It was a partly cloudy sky in the morning with moderate fog enveloping the city. Some places experienced cold wave conditions, according to the India Meteorological Department said. The temperature at the Ridge was three degrees Celsius while in Ayanagar, it was 3.5 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature is expected to settle at 20 degrees Celsius.

    Following the recent `Guidelines for International Arrivals`, issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW),  110 international passengers were tested randomly on day 1 at the Delhi IGI. Delhi Breaking News LIVE Updates: With increasing Covid-19 scare in the country, Delhi government and other state governments are brainstorming over preventive measures which can be taken to curb the spread of virus. As a preventive measure, Ministry of Health declared that 2 percent of passengers travelling on international routes will be subjected to random sampling tests at the airport from today. Adhering to the guidelines, Mumbai International Airport, Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport, and Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport started the random sampling.
