COVID-19 LIVE: Maharashtra`s total increases by 3,870 to 1,32,075; active cases surge to 60,147

With the highest single-day spike of 15,413 new cases in the last 24 hours, the COVID-19 tally in India crossed 4 lakh mark on Sunday (June 21, 2020).

  • Maharashtra: 3870 new cases were reported today. Total positive cases stand at 1,32,075 including 60,147 active cases.

  • Haryana: 412 new cases have been reported today. The total number of cases surge to 10,635.

  • Uttarakhand: 20 new cases reported till 9 pm today, taking the total number of cases to 2,344.

  • Delhi: 3,000 new cases and 63 deaths were reported in the national capital in the last 24 hours. The total cases jump to 59,746, out of which 24,558 are still active. Toll increase to 2,175. 

     

  • Kerala: 133 fresh cases were reported today. The total number of active cases in the state increase to 1,490.
     

  • Chandigarh: The total number of COVID-19 positive cases is now 404, including 82 active cases and 6 deaths.

  • Uttar Pradesh: 596 new cases have been reported in the State in the last 24 hours. There are now 6,186 active cases and 10,995 patients have been discharged. The death count stands at 550.

  • Karnataka: 453 fresh cases take the total number of active cases to 3,391. The toll surged to 137.
     

  • Tamil Nadu: Record 2,532 in 24 hours take the total number of cases to 59,377. The death count increased by 53 to 757. There are 25,863 active cases now in the State.

  • Maharashtra Police: 88 new COVID-19 positive cases and 1 death recorded in the last 24 hours in Maharashtra Police. The total number of positive cases rise to 4,048, and the death count surge to 47 deaths.

     

  • Hyderabad: Congress leader V Hanumanth Rao tests positive for COVID-19.
     

  • Uttarakhand: 23 new confirmed cases were reported today, taking the total positive cases in the State to 2,324.

     

  • Himachal Pradesh: Two more people tested positive for COVID19 in the state, taking total number of active cases to 233.

  • Andhra Pradesh: 477 new COVID19 cases and 5 deaths recorded in the state in the last 24 hours, taking total number of cases to 8,929 including 4,516 active cases. Number of deaths stands at 106 as per the state health department.

  • UP CM Yogi Adityanath held discussion via video conferencing with Haryana CM ML Khattar and Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat.

  • Pune: Highest single-day spike of 823 positive COVID19 cases and 24 deaths reported in the district. Total number of positive cases and death toll rise to 15004 and 584 respectively.

  • Rajasthan: 154 new COVID19 positive cases and 4 deaths today, taking the total number of positive cases and deaths to 14691 and 341 respectively.

  • India COVID-19 data in last 24 hour: 15413 new cases in the last 24 hours. Highest jump recorded in single-day. 306 deaths in last 24 hour. Recovery rate 55.48 percent.
     

  • India COVID-19 data: Coronavirus cases in India rise to 4,10,461 which includes 1,69,451 active cases, 2,27,756 recovered/migrated cases, and 13,254 deaths as per the Ministry of Health data.

As per the Ministry of Health data total cases in India surged to 410461 which includes 1,69,451 are active cases while at least 2,27,756 people have been cured of the infection. The total death toll in the country stands at 13,254 and 306 deaths were reported in the last 24 hour. The recovery rate in India is at 55.48 percent.


In Maharashtra, the total number of confirmed cases surged to 1,28,205, whereas, Delhi's total tally increased to 56,746.


India is the world's fourth worst-hit nation in terms of a total number of confirmed cases it is just behind the US, Brazil and Russia.
