Meanwhile, ministers in the Uddhav Thackeray-led government had indicated the day before that a new lockdown was imminent. Maharashtra will implement fresh new restrictions on Thursday (April 22) amid the rising COVID-19 caseloads in the state.

Patanjali spokesperson has rubbished media reports of COVID-19 infection at the naturopathy center Yog gram in Uttarakhand. SK Tijarawala, spokesperson of Baba Ramdev, urged media not to run "false" reports. He further said that no COVID-19 case has been found at the centre.
