The five assemblies that went to polls are West Bengal (294 seats), Assam (126 seats) , Tamil Nadu (234 seats), Kerala (140 seats) and Puducherry (30 seats).


BJP looks set to retain power in Assam and win Puducherry. The party is neck and neck with TMC in West Bengal.


In Tamil Nadu, DMK-Congress alliance clearly looks ahead of AIADMK-BJP, while in Kerala, LDF is likely to win again.
