New Delhi: The ruling BJP is heading towards another massive win in Uttar Pradesh as the initial trends show a lead for the saffron camp in over 260 seats out of 403 constituency-state.

As per the early trends, Kanpur region seats also seems to be getting dominated by the Bharatiya Janata Party candidates.


In some of the key seats of the Kanpur region-- Kanpur Cantt, Aryanagar, Kalyanpur, Govindnagar, Sisamau and several others, BJP seems to be gaining a lead. Exact numbers and trends are still awaited.


Kanpur Cantt


In Kanpur Cantt's seat, BJP's Raghunandan Singh Bhadhuriya is leading as per early trends. 


Arya Nagar


It’s been 2 hours since counting began in Arya Nagar and going by the early trends, BJP candidate Suresh Awasthi has a lead of over 1,100 votes over SP candidate Amitabh Bajpai.


As far as the other key Uttar Pradesh constituencies are concerned, Yogi Adityanath, who has been an MP from Gorakhpur for two decades, is massively leading from his home seat as per the early countings.


Meanwhile, Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party was leading in 95 seats as compared to the ruling BJP.


From the Karhal constituency, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav is leading by over 10,000 votes in Karhal.


Among those who were leading included Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath from Gorakhpur, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav from Karhal, Shivpal Yadav from Jaswant Nagar, and Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya from Sirathu.


Oth the other hand, Ajay Kumar Lallu of INC is trailing in Tamkuhi Raj. He is the sitting MLA from the seat and one of the seven Congress MLAs who had won in the 2017 UP Assembly elections.
