New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday distributed portfolios to the newly inducted Yogi 2.0 cabinet.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has kept the Home department with himself. Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak has got the crucial Health Ministry while the PWD ministry has been given to Jitin Prasad.


Key leader AK Sharma, who is famously known as PM Modi’s right hand, has got the ko Nagar Vikas and Power ministry.

Among other MoS (independent charge) Sandip Singh, grandson of BJP veteran Kalyan Singh, will take care of Basic Education while Daya Shankar Singh gets Transport.


Danish Azad Ansari, the lone Muslim minister in the MoS rank, has been allocated Minorities Welfare besides Waqf and Haj departments.


The only Sikh minister of the same MOS rank, Baldev Singh Aulakh, got Agriculture and Agriculture Education.


Earlier, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, on Wednesday, appointed Ramapati Shastri as the Protem Speaker of the state Legislative Assembly.


On Friday, Adityanath took oath as the chief minister of the state in a jam-packed Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium having a crowd of more than 50,000 in attendance.


A total of 52 ministers took oath as ministers, including two deputy Chief Ministers.


Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak took oath as the Deputy Chief Ministers of the state.


Meanwhile, in his first cabinet meeting that took place on Saturday, Yogi 2.0 government decided to extend the free ration scheme in the state by three months.


In the meeting that was aimed to discuss operations for the coming term, it was decided that the Uttar Pradesh government will spend Rs 3,270 crore which will benefit up to 15 crore people, said UP deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya in Lucknow.
