According to ANI, Andrabi, who is the head of Dukhtran-e-Millat - an Islamist separatist organization – was arrested for her alleged anti-India activities last night.

Dukhtran-e-Millat is known for issuing diktats periodically to the residents of Kashmir Valley on things it considers un-Islamic.

Andrabi is also a member of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference.

She has often been criticised for giving provocative statements against the Government of India.

A large number of militants recently arrested by the security forces have reportedly confessed to have been influenced by her provocative speeches.

Andrabi's inflammatory speech videos are also routinely shown at terror training camps across the Line of Control.

Andrabi is married to Ashiq Hussain Faktoo, a Hizbul Mujahideen leader, who is now in jail.

It was not immediately clear under what provisions Andrabi has been booked, but there were reports earlier that Centre was mulling slapping of UAPA on her.
