2 terrorists killed in encounter with security forces in J&K`s Shopian

Security forces on Wednesday launched a search operation in Jammu and Kashmir`s Shopian district.

Srinagar: Two terrorists were on Wednesday gunned down and a jawan was in an encounter with the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district.

"In an encounter today at Saigund Shopian, two terrorists have been neutralised and weapons have been recovered. Unfortunately, one boy was also killed in the cross-fire and two ladies sustained injuries. Search is still going on," SP Vaid, DGP said.

The jawans cordoned off Dairoo's Chaigund area in the district where the search operation has been launched.

They reportedly received information about the presence of terrorists in the area.
