Bangalore blast will help BJP politically, tweets Congress spokesman

Bangalore: Congress spokesperson Shakeel Ahmed on Wednesday drew sharp response after saying that the blast near the BJP office in Bangalore would help the ruling party politically.
Shakeel Ahmed tweeted, "If the blast near BJP`s office in Banglore is a terror attack,it will certainly help the BJP politically on the eve of election (sic)." The state BJP reacted to the Congress spokesman`s remarks, tweeting, "Congress Spokesperson Shakeel Ahmad`s tweet on blasts in Bangalore is insensitive and inhumane."
As per police, 16 people including eight policemen were hurt in the motorcycle blast. Assembly Elections are due in Karnataka on May 5.
