PREVIEW
The repeat of last year's final will once again see two heavyweights in the South Asia trying to outdo each other.
India, winners of record six times, have so far a enjoyed a dominant outing against Sri Lanka and Nepal in the group phase, then easily got the better of Maldives in the semi-finals.
However, Stephen Constantine's side will be wary of a strong Afghan side, which has so far scored at an aggregate of three goals. Besides, Petar Segrt's outfit is also the highest ranked team in the competition.
Afghanistan topped their group winning all the matches - against Maldives, Bangladesh and Bhutan. Then, in the semis, they toyed with Sri Lanka, winning the match 5-0.
It will be a tough task for India to avenge last year's defeat. But playing at home, and promises of a good start to new year may well prove enough for Sunil Chhetri and Co. to cause an upset.
