Durg Lok Sabha constituency of Chhattisgarh: Full list of candidates, polling dates

Durg is one of 11 Lok Sabha constituencies in the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh and cast vote in the third phase of the election this year - on April 23. The result will be out on May 23.

Durg registered 71.66 percent voter turnout in 2019, a gain of 3.76 percent. The total number of electors in the constituency is 1938319 while the total voter turnout is 1388972. While in 2014, the constituency registered 67.90 percent voter turnout. The total number of electors in the constituency was 1854631 while the total voter's turnout was 1259324.

Geetanjali Singh of Bahujan Samaj Party, Pratima Chandrakar of Indian National Congress, Vijay Baghel of Bharatiya Janata Party and Kamlesh Kumar Nagarchi of Shivsena are some of the prominent names that will contest the Lok Sabha election 2019 from Durg Lok Sabha constituency in Chhattisgarh.

Durg Lok Sabha constituency comprises of nine assembly segments - Patan, Durg Rural, Durg City, Bhilai Nagar, Vaishali Nagar, Ahiwara (SC), Saja, Bemetara and Nawagarh.

In the 2014 Lok Sabha election, Congress' Tamradhwaj Sahu upstaged BJP dominance here by defeating sitting MP Saroj Pandey by a margin of 16,848 votes.
