Sultanpur is one of the 80 Lok Sabha constituencies in Uttar Pradesh. Voting in Sultanpur Lok Sabha constituency in the sixth phase was on May 12 and counting is on May 23.

In the politically crucial state of Uttar Pradesh, 54 percent polling was reported in 14 constituencies.

Chandra Bhadra Singh "Sonu" of Bahujan Samaj Party, Maneka Sanjay Gandhi of Bharatiya Janata Party and Dr. Sanjay Sinh of Indian National Congress are a few prominent candidates contesting for general elections 2019 from Sultanpur Lok Sabha Constituency of Uttar Pradesh.

Sultanpur parliamentary constituency comprises of five assembly segments namely Isauli, Sultanpur, Sultanpur Sadar, Lambhua and Kadipur.

In 2014 Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janata Party's Feroze Varun Gandhi had won the Sultanpur Lok Sabha constituency with a margin of 178902 votes.

Feroze Varun Gandhi had bagged 4,10,348 votes as against Bahujan Samaj Party's Pawan Pandey who secured 2,31,446 votes.

At the third spot was Samajwadi Party's Shakeel Ahmed with 2,28,144 votes.
