Bhopal: In a shocking incident, the doctors in Madhya Pradesh's Satna district had operated and removed a small steel cup from an old man's rectum.
According to ANI, a poor farmer, in his sixties, was admitted to a private hospital following complaints of severe ache in his lower back.
Following an endoscopy and an x-ray, the doctors were astonished to notice some obstruction high up in his digestive system.
The man was then advised to undergo a surgery after which the doctors removed a small metal cup lodged up his bottom.
According to ANI, the steel glass was inserted into the man's rectum as a 'cure' for his stomach ache by some 'quack' doctors.
The man claimed that he was forced to agree to the bizarre treatment, and after he gave his nod, the poor man was sedated and a steel cup was inserted into his private parts.
The man, who is now recovering, had approached his village doctors after suffering from vomiting and stomach pain for several months.
