According to reports, he was asked by the Delhi High Court to surrender before Director General (DG) following his petition that he was assaulted by his superiors after the release of the video.

The CRPF jawan will meet DG on Monday.

Misra had earlier claimed to have lost a relative in the recent attack in Sukma and vented his frustration on Facebook against Home Minister Rajnath Singh.

Mishra is posted with the CRPF's 221 Battalion in Durgapur, West Bengal.

He wrote, "They should not forget that these CRPF jawans provide security to leaders like Amit Shah. We voted for Modi ji and not the BJP, and leaders like Rajnath Singh are misleading the Prime Minister," he said, requesting the Home Minister to meet the family members of slain the soldiers."

He requested the media to understand the pain of the CRPF jawans.

"Ask jawans what are their problems, and not the 'defence specialists' who question the training programmes of the paramilitary forces," he added.
