Mumbai: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah on Sunday had a `darshan` of the famed Lalbaugcha Raja Ganapati idol in central Mumbai`s Parel-Lalbaug area.

He was accompanied by Maharashtra BJP President Raosaheb Patil-Danve, Mumbai BJP chief Ashish Shelar and several state cabinet ministers.


Arriving at the Lalbaug-cha Raja marquee, Shah prayed before the 18 feet tall iconic idol of the elephant-headed god, Lord Ganesha.


He also visited another Ganeshotsav celebration organised by Shelar at a public marquee in Bandra where a replica of the Shri Saibaba Temple of Shirdi had been created.
