The regional meteorological centre in Mumbai recorded no rainfall at its Colaba observatory and it was very little in Santacruz till 5.30 pm.

"It did rain in Santacruz but it was so low that it has been recorded as trace. It means it rained but could not be counted," an India Meteorological Department official said.

The IMD has forecast a few spells of light rain or showers in the city and its suburbs tomorrow.

Torrential rains had pounded the metropolis on Tuesday, throwing normal life completely out of gear.
