According to Igatpuri Senior Police Inspector Sanjay Shukla, a police team carried out a raid early on Monday morning following a complaint about blaring music from a private bungalow.

They came across young boys and girls dancing, some in semi-nude state, to the DJ's Bollywood music with imported alcohol being freely served.

"We have arrested 13 persons, including the DJ, and they have been released on bail yesterday (Monday)," Shukla said.

According to investigations, the DJ was hired from Mumbai and the girls, said to be professional dancers, were booked through online sites reportedly for a huge six-figure amount, for the overnight party at a bungalow in the hill station renowned for its round-the-year salubrious weather.

Police have seized around half a dozen bottles of imported liquor including scotch and rum and taken blood samples of the revellers to check if they had also consumed narcotics at the party.

"Besides we have seized a vehicle with a yellow beacon (light) parked outside the bungalow and are verifying its ownership through the traffic department," Shukla added.

Among those arrested were Prithviraj Pawar and Kaustubh Jadhav from Nashik, and Lalit Patil from Pimpri-Chinchwad, he said.

Videos of the party showed some of the girls hurriedly running to grab their clothes as the police team swooped on the bungalow that morning.

The possibility of involvement of kin of top officials came to light after the local police started getting calls from several high-ranking civil and police servants soon after the raid.
