Sensex climbs 100 points, Nifty tops 8,900-mark
Benchmark Sensex rose over 100 points while the NSE Nifty went past the 8,900-mark to close at over five-month high as investors accumulated stocks amid continued foreign fund inflows.

RIL ended 1.36 percent higher at Rs 1,088.25 after Reliance Jio announced new tariff plans.
The Sensex rallied 100.01 points, or 0.35 percent to close at 28,761.59. Intra-day, it hovered between 28,597.33 and 28,801.
The index had gained 506.02 points in the previous three sessions.
The 50-share NSE Nifty ended 28.65 points, or 0.32 percent, higher at 8,907.85, its highest closing since September 8, 2016 when it had settled at 8,952.50.
During the day, it moved between 8,920.80 and 8,860.95.
