Mumbai: Wholesale debt market segment of the National Stock Exchange on Friday witnessed a total turnover of Rs 2843.30 crore in 53 trades.

The 8.35 percent government securities maturing in CG2022 traded value at Rs 950.00 crore at yeighted yield of 7.02 percent, the 6.79 percent government securities maturing in CG2027 traded value at Rs 250.00 crore at yeighted yield of 6.76 percent and the 6.79 percent government securities maturing in CG2029 traded value at Rs 175.00 crore at yeighted yield of 7.02 percent


During the trading week ended today, total turnover was Rs 7,785.53 crore and the total number of trades was 178.


The highest trade volume during the week was at Rs 2,843.30 crore as on today, while the lowest was Rs 1082.65 crore as on May 8.


This week, the weighted yield on government securities with a maturity period of 0-3 years, 3-7 years, 7-10 years and more than 10 years quoted at 6.80 percent, 7.01 percent, 7.12 percent and 7.13, respectively.


The weighted yields on treasury bills maturing for 0-90 days and 183-365 days was 6.22 percent and 6.45 percent.


During the week, the cumulative value of government securities, treasury bills and state government securities trading on WDM was Rs 5,093.78 crore, representing 65.43 percent of the total traded value.


Trading in non-government securities was at Rs 2,691.75 crore, representing 34.57 percent, an NSE release said.
