New Delhi: Lenovo is all set to launch its Phab 2 smartphone in India on Tuesday. The company has sent out press invites for the webinar.

The Phab 2 features 6.4-inch full HD display with 720p resolution. It is powered by an Octa-core MediaTek MT8735 processor.


Housing 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal memory, the Phab 2 phone has a 13MP shooter on the back and a 5MP front-shooter with a wide-angle lens.


The phone houses a 4,050mAh non-removable battery.


Lenovo also confirmed the launch of the phone via its twitter page. It wrote:



Phab 2 will be made available through Flipkart. Launched at the  Tech World Event in June, the phone was launched  at $199 which is around Rs 13,000 in India. However, some media reports say that the phone will range between Rs 11,000 - Rs 11,500 in India.


As per the latest report by International Data Corporation (IDC), Lenovo Group, which constitutes almost a fourth of total online smartphone shipments, continues to lead online channel followed by Xiaomi.


Samsung led the Indian smartphone market with 23 percentage share with 8 percent sequential growth followed by Lenovo Group (including Motorola) at second place with 9.6 percent share of smartphones in the third quarter of this year, IDC said.
