Xiaomi Redmi 5 with 18:9 display to go on sale on March 20
Redmi 5 has 7.7-mm metal body which makes it the slimmest smartphone in the Redmi series.
New Delhi: Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi's recently launched smartphone – Redmi 5 will be available in a weekly sale starting March 20 across Mi.com, Amazon and Mi Home stores.
The base variant of the phone with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage will come at Rs 7,999. The phone's 3GB and 32GB storage variant has been priced at Rs 8,999 while the 4GB with 64GB internal memory variants will cost Rs 10,999.
Redmi 5 has 7.7-mm metal body which makes it the slimmest smartphone in the Redmi series and has a 5.7-inch screen.

The smartphone with 18:9 display will also be made available across all Xioami's offline partners in the coming weeks.
The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 Octa-core processor with 14nm "FINFET" technology.
There is a 12MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera with LED selfie-light. A 3,300mAh battery fuels the device.
