Kia India has finally launched the much anticipated Carens for the Indian market on February 15 (today). The Kia Carens is the fourth product from the South Korean automaker following the launch of Seltos, Carnival, and Sonet in India. Kia Carens is priced between Rs 8.99 lakh to Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom, introductory) and will compete against Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and Mahindra XUV700. Among the variants of the Kia Carens, there are Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury and Luxury Plus. It is available in both 6- and 7-seater options in India.

Kia Carens clocked 19,000 bookings since pre-bookings were open, and close 7500 bookings were registered in first 24 hours of opening the bookings.

Recently Kia India, along with Hyundai, Toyota, Honda and Suzuki faced a backlash on Social Media due to the controversial posts by some of the Pakistani dealers of these respective brands on Kashmir Day. The global brands later apologized for the actions of the dealers.
