MUMBAI: The police on Sunday arrived at the Hyatt Hotel here to record the statement of the Bollywood actor after she claimed that a fellow passenger had tried to molest her on a recent Delhi-Mumbai flight.

The incident drew sharp reactions after she revealed in a social media post that a middle-aged man who was sitting behind her tried to molest her on a Vistara flight on Saturday,


The actor claimed the accused caressed her neck while she was asleep. She, however, managed to capture the act on her cell phone before firing it on the social media.


Reacting to the incident, the National Commission for Women chairperson Rekha Sharma said she was appalled by the "insensitivity" of the airline staff as they "didn't offer her any help".


Meanwhile, the airline said it was probing the incident.
