Zee Business BSE Bull Run celebrates India`s economy with massive participation
Close to 10,000 people came out to take part in the Zee Business BSE Bull Run to celebrate the vibrant Indian economy.
Mumbai: Thousands of people took to the streets in the wee hours of Sunday morning to enthusiastically participate in the Zee Business BSE Bull Run. Celebrating India's vibrant economy with a six-kilometre run, close to 10,000 people joined eminent personalities in a 6:30 am start.
While Bollywood actor and fitness enthusiast Vidyut Jammwal shared running tips and motivated participants, there were a number of other well-known personalities here as well.
"Zee Business BSE Bull Run is a celebration of India's vibrant economy which is about to take a giant leap. It is a pioneering initiative by Zee Business & BSE to engage the common man and retail investors with India’s growth story. Every year this celebration of India Inc before the budget sets the tone for our massive Budget Campaign. This year due to thumping response the event had to be moved to MMRDA Grounds from traditional venue of Dalal Street which speaks volumes about its brand equity and the excitement it brings to our audiences,” said Mihir Bhatt, Deputy Editor of ZEE Business.
Mumbai is known for its economic and financial growth and the people behind it were also actively involved in the run. S Ravi, Chairman, BSE, spoke to ZEE Business and said, "Healthy India and healthy economy are two most important aspects of our nation and both will be in action today. Healthy India, healthy index and healthy BSE that is the way it is."
"Indian economy is growing in a healthy fashion but sometimes we tend to ignore our personal health, especially the folks in financial markets who are glued to computer screens day in and day out resulting in several health concerns, so must be careful about our health too," said Ashish Chauhan, MD & CEO, BSE.
In the male category, Devendra Singh emerged at Numero Uno position clocking a time of 15 minutes and 50 seconds. Devender Singh, an Indian Army jawan, narrowly missed the top position and took the second spot with a time of 15 minutes and 54 seconds, while Shailesh Gangoda secured the third spot with a time of 16.01 minutes.
In the female category, Geeta Rathode emerged victorious clocking a time of 22.28 minutes, while Savita Yadav took the second spot with 23.22 minutes and Manisha finished third with a time of 28.03 minutes.
