New Delhi: Hyderabad traffic police on Saturday registered a case against Union Minister Yalamanchili Satyanarayana Chaudhary's son Karthik for alleged rash driving in the city.

According to police, a drive was being conducted in the city on Saturday morning during which they found a speeding luxurious car heading towards them. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was identified as Karthik, son of Minister of State for Ministry of Science & Technology & Earth Sciences.


Karthik's car was seized and he was taken into police custody. The police registered a case against him and booked him for violation of Motor vehicles act under sec184(b) (rash driving).


Apparently, YS Chaudhary is said to be one of the richest MPs in India at present.


Meanwhile, several others were also taken into custody after police received a tip-off about few youngsters engaging in road-racing on Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad.


At least 14 youth were taken into custody and four cars and 14 two-wheelers were seized from them.
