Hyderabad: Rich tributes were paid to late Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh Y S Rajasekhara Reddy on his sixth death anniversary on Wednesday.

YSRCP president Jagan Mohan Reddy, along with his family members and party leaders, paid homage to the departed leader who died in a chopper crash on this day in 2009 in the Nallamala forests.


Family members, including Jagan's wife Bharathi, YSR's widow Vijayamma, daughter Sharmila, Kadapa MP and Jagan's cousin Y S Avinash Reddy, paid floral tributes to him at the YSR ghat located in his family estate at Idupulapaya in Kadapa district.


YSR Congress MLAs attended the ongoing monsoon session of Legislative Assembly here after paying homage to Reddy.


Congress leaders from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana also paid their homage to Reddy, who led the Congress to a grand victory in the 2004 Legislative Assembly elections in undivided Andhra Pradesh.


He returned to power in 2009, but died soon after assuming office for the second term.
