Nine Israeli trekkers injured in Nepal
Nine Israeli tourists on a hiking expedition in a mountainous region in north Nepal today sustained injuries, including one critically, when a jeep they were travelling in met with an accident.
Kathmandu: Nine Israeli tourists on a hiking expedition in a mountainous region in north Nepal today sustained injuries, including one critically, when a jeep they were travelling in met with an accident.
The accident occurred in the Annapurna Massif situated in northern Nepal.
The nine Israeli tourists were on a hiking expedition in the Annapurna region of the Himalayas and were travelling in a jeep at that time.
Israeli Ambassador Roni Abramson accompanying a medical team reached the accident site for first aid treatment following which they were brought here in a helicopter, embassy sources said.
The condition of one of the injured is said to be serious though all of them are out of danger.
Meanwhile, search is continuing for a 42-year-old Israeli trekker, named Amit Reichman, who has been missing for the past 8 days in the Annapurna region.
